Sore throat prevention natural treatment

But too much zinc can actually damage your immune system, so you shouldn’t take lozenges for long periods of time. The safe upper limit for long-term use of zinc supplements is 25 mg per day.

One of the causes of sore throat is acid reflux. If strong stomach acid returns mostly to your throat while you sleep, you will wake up with something that acts like a sore throat. To prevent this, try raising the headboard on wooden blocks or several old telephone directories.
