MSM organic sulfur methylsulfonylmethane

9.00

MSM or methylsulfonylmethane is a biologically active form of sulfur, a building material for many substances in the human body. Additional sulfur intake can increase the metabolism of these substances, participate in the synthesis of enzymes or be useful in maintaining the acid-base balance in the body. MSM is a staple food for your joints and brings amazing health benefits to your hair, skin and nails. It is especially important for maintaining healthy bones and tendons. Sulfur is one of the main blocks of collagen and keratin, building 150 other organic substances, including the most important proteins. The most common benefits of MSM are related to its anti-inflammatory properties in joint pain and especially in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

MSM or Methylsulfonylmethane is an excellent support for the immune system and a very important enhancer for antioxidants. It increases the permeability of the cell membrane, has a positive effect on autoimmune disorders, allergies, arthritis. It is recommended for use in all therapies due to the higher absorption of drugs with this preparation.

Description

Sulfur deficiency is widespread – although experts (wrongly) assume that there is a sufficient amount of sulfur. However, those who do not consume enough sulfur due to an inappropriate diet may suffer from the following symptoms: joint problems, liver problems, circulatory disorders, depression, anxiety, dull hair, pale skin, barbells, brittle nails, loose connective tissue and many more .

Our body needs MSM

methylsulfonylmethane msm

MSM stands for methyl sulfonyl methane – also known as dimethyl sulfone. It is an organic sulfur compound that can supply the human body with precious natural sulfur. Sulfur is a vital element and 0.2 percent of the human body is sulfur.

At first glance, it seems that this fraction of a percentage is not worth mentioning. However, if you look more closely at the quantitative distribution of elements in the human body, the significance of sulfur becomes more than clear.

For example, our body contains five times more sulfur than magnesium and forty times more sulfur than iron.

Most people know how important it is to get enough magnesium and iron every day. In contrast, few people care about a sufficient amount of sulfur. In addition, there are many opinions (and this is usually reported in the media) that there is enough sulfur in the daily diet, which is why there is no need for an additional supply of sulfur.

This is no wonder, because sulfur is considered a nutrient that has been the least scientifically researched so far.

MSM for perfect proteins in the body

Sulfur is an essential component of many endogenous substances, such as enzymes, hormones (eg insulin), glutathione (endogenous antioxidant) and many essential amino acids (eg cysteine, methionine, taurine).

In the absence of sulfur, glutathione – our great fighter against free radicals – cannot do its job. It is considered to be glutathione one of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. If the body cannot produce enough glutathione as a result of a lack of sulfur, the person suffers from increased oxidative stress, and the immune system also suffers a severe blow because it now has to work much harder.

Our body’s protein is made up of sulfur-containing amino acids (along with other amino acids). The so-called sulfur bridges (connections between two sulfur particles) determine the spatial structure of all enzymes and proteins.

Without these sulfur bridges, enzymes and proteins continue to form, but they now have a completely different spatial structure and are therefore biologically inactive. This means that they can no longer fulfill their original functions. If the body is supplied with MSM, on the other hand, active enzymes and perfect proteins can be re-created.

MSM strengthens the immune system

For example, the sulfur-containing amino acid methionine has many important functions in the body. One of them is the transport of trace elements of selenium to the place of use. Selenium helps repel pathogens, protects against free radicals and is very important for the eyes, vascular walls and connective tissue.

If sulfur is missing, methionine is also missing. If methionine is missing, no one transports selenium where it is needed. If selenium is lacking, the body’s defenses no longer function properly and people become susceptible to infections, inflammation and so-called signs of wear and tear, none of which would happen in a healthy immune system.

The lack of just one single substance therefore never results in just one malfunction, but many different ones that – like an avalanche – cause and intensify each other.

It has long been assumed that even allergies triggers a weak immune system. Today, however, we know that the malfunction of the body’s defenses is responsible. In this case, too, MSM can be helpful.

MSM relieves allergy symptoms

People with pollen allergies (pollen fever), food allergies, and allergies to house dust or animal hair often report a serious improvement in their allergic symptoms after just a few days of taking MSM powder.

Meanwhile, these effects have also been confirmed many times from a medical perspective, e.g. American research team from GENESIS center for integrative medicine. The study included 50 subjects who were given 2,600 mg of MSM daily for 30 days.

By day seven, the typical symptoms of upper respiratory tract allergy had significantly improved. By the third week, the symptoms of the lower respiratory system also became much better. Patients also felt an increase in energy levels from the second week onwards.

The researchers came to the conclusion that MSM in the mentioned dose can significantly alleviate the symptoms of seasonal allergies (eg respiratory problems).

Although the above study did not reveal any changes in the area of inflammatory markers, MSM shows considerable anti-inflammatory effects in other inflammatory diseases, e.g. when osteoarthritis progresses to the stage of inflammation.

MSM for cartilage and joints

Sulfur is an important part of the synovial fluid, as well as the inner layer of the joint capsules. Due to the constant stress on the joints, the body constantly renews them.

However, if sulfur is lacking, the body can no longer make the necessary repairs to the joints. Chronic sulfur deficiency therefore contributes to the development of joint problems: the result is painful symptoms of degeneration and joint stiffness.

No wonder the study was published in 1995. showed that the concentration of sulfur in cartilage damaged by osteoarthritis is only a third of the concentration in healthy cartilage.

2007. Researchers from the University of California published new scientific results on “How MSM protects against cartilage breakdown and reduces inflammation in arthritic problems.” MSM was administered in this study. The result was that MSM was able to impressively inhibit the production of inflammatory substances and enzymes that break down cartilage.

Researchers working with cartilage expert David Amiel, Ph.D. It is assumed that MSM can consequently be used as protection against joint inflammation and against further cartilage degradation, ie. it is able to stop arthritis – especially in the early stages.

People who have suffered from arthritic problems and taken MSM have often reported a reduction in pain soon or even pain relief and a sudden increase in the mobility of once arthritic joints.

Although MSM can now be used internally (capsules) as well as externally (MSM gel) for osteoarthritis or joint problems, it could temporarily return to a more effective but only externally applicable DMSO for acute joint pain.
