Dichloroacetate or DCA in the fight against cancer

3 minutes, 34 seconds Read

This drug known as dichloroacetate or DCA kills malignant cells both in vitro and in humans. On the other hand, whether it can reduce the size of the tumor without any harm to the human body, that information has yet to be investigated.

Clinical trials in patients suffering from brain malignancy (glioblasoma) give hope to people suffering from malignancy.

A very interesting property of dichloroacetate is that it is economical and that this product cannot be copyrighted. This information makes it a product of negligible value for pharmaceutical corporations that profit from new expensive drugs.

Only four years ago, three quantitative tests were performed related to the use of DCA and its impact on malignancy. Some of these studies have looked at DCA and its effects with other drugs such as chemotherapy and its combined effects with radiotherapy.

Metabolic direction of action of malignant cells versus healthy cells

Two very important processes in our cells are the conversion of sugar into energy and these are the process of glucose oxidation and the process of glycolysis.

Glucose oxidation or cellular respiration: This is the main energy metabolism in normal cells and takes place in our mitochondria, the small power plants of our cells. This process requires the presence of oxygen which is necessary for our breathing and also for the beating of our heart which moves oxygen through the blood throughout our body. Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm of our cells and is not associated with the presence of oxygen. Glycolysis is not specific for normal cells, the process of glucose is more practiced by cancer cells and is an easier way to process sugar.

Malignant cells very successfully acquire energy with the process of glucose due to the fact that they possess a very energetic pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase. The technique to slow down and reduce energy production in malignant cells is achieved by blocking the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase and thus forcing the cancer cell to use the glucose oxidation process instead of the glycolysis process. This way of changing energy production in cancer cells is called the Warburg malignancy hypothesis. Dichloroacetate acts as a blocker and in this way causes mass destruction of cancer cells.

Dichloroacetate or DCA blocks the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase

DCA dichloroacetate

Dichloroacetate or DCA blocks the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase and enhances the work of mitochondrial cells and in this way convinces malignant cells to reject their standard metabolic direction, and in this way cancer cells lead themselves to final destruction. This process of self-destruction occurs because mitochondria are the main controllers of cell destruction and they are equipped with sensors that respond to anomalies that involve the process of self-destruction of a cell that is not healthy.

When mitochondrial malignant cells recognize that the cell is malignant, they instantly activate suicide. For that reason, the end result of chemotherapy and radiotherapy have frightening side effects. Our healthy cells essentially perform self-destruction with much more effort.

The cause of the rapid growth of malignancy is the reason that the mitochondria are excluded, also due to inactivity, the work and functioning of the cell is disturbed, and everything occurs due to the lack of oxygen. Dichloroacetate reverses this condition with other anti-malignant drugs such as radiotherapy, genetic therapy and the latest treatment for viruses.

Impact on malignancy

Several studies have been conducted, along with clinical trials in patients with brain malignancy. For people who have glioblastoma, it is davandichloroacetate for a period of one year.

Tumor size decreased in 3 of 5 patients who used dichloroacetate. In these 3 patients, there is evidence that tumor development is slowed, and more malignant cells have undergone programmed cell death. Unfortunately, one in 5 patients gave up, while the other had surgery and these two men did not complete the DCA treatment. It should be noted in which other diseases successes have been reported in the treatment of patients with DCA:

endometrial malignancy

prostate malignancy

breast malignancy

colon malignancy

metric neck malignancy

It should be noted that DCA has a great future as a chemical agent that will prevent further progression of cancer, and at the same time this preparation can close the milk cycle and reduce energy outflows in patients. cancer patients which is manifested by weight loss, increased fatigue caused by excessive production of lactic acid.
