I didn’t have any problems, I felt good. However, at the colposcopy, the doctor mentioned some kind of mosaic, and it was good that I came for an examination. He suggests taking all possible swabs for bacteria, fungi, etc.

It is very important to note that I did not know anything about the HPV virus at that time.

The doctor did not give me a specific answer to my questions about what a mosaic is and why I have it. We broke up with an agreement to wait for the results.

In general, this was a period when I searched the Internet for answers. What is HPV, how is it obtained, is it dangerous and the like. Don’t be surprised if you come across an article that talks about irresponsible behavior, “too often” changing partners. Having HPV does not mean that you are not careful, that you are not responsible or that you change partners often. I got HPV from my first partner, he didn’t know he had it. HPV is very widespread, it has no symptoms and that is why this virus is inconvenient. Regular checkups are key, so you’ll be sure to find out in time, even if you hook it up.

The result of my biopsy showed CIN 1, to which the gynecologist said that it was a good sign and that we would see each other in six months. I was completely taken aback by the fact that I have a mosaic and a bad pap test result, and all I can do is hope that in 6 months the finding will, on its own, get better.

I started looking for answers about what HPV is June 2020 – March 2021

Subsequent controls varied between the second and third groups, and I kept looking for answers or some solution. Going for check-ups has become very stressful and a bit traumatic for me. You can’t even suggest what the finding will show, because certainly this virus, at least in my case, did not leave any visible symptoms for me.

When I finally did a test for the HPV virus and its typing, and more or less on my own initiative, I officially learned that I was positive for the high-risk type. Although HPV was suspected a year before the test and the positive result should not be a surprise to me, I was completely broken, both mentally and physically. I just felt completely helpless.

I found a possible solution for HPV

At the same time, out of desperation, I continue, for the thousandth time, to search the Internet and read texts about HPV. Then I came across the article HPV VIRUS AND ITS SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT

As they write in their text, there is no cure for the HPV virus, but it is necessary to bring the organism into such a state that the immune system is able to fight the virus. It is crucial that if you have HPV you take care of your immune system. Sometimes it doesn’t just mean quality sleep, nutrition and daily recreation. I consider myself to have led a relatively healthy lifestyle before, but in my case it was necessary to introduce some more preparations that helped the body fight this insidious virus.

Traditional Chinese medicine or TCM is guided by the principle that the disease occurs due to an imbalance in the body. When this imbalance is treated, the body moves in the healing direction. This therapy treats the body as a whole. This method of treatment has been practiced for several thousand years.

For this reason, a study was conducted to determine the benefits of TCM in HIV-infected patients. 257 subjects were included in this study. The selection of these parameters was rigorous, and over time this number was reduced to only 11. These 11 subjects included 11 different traditional Chinese medicines tested on 998 HIV-infected patients. The results were as follows:

1 – IGM – 31:

3 – SH mixture:

This mixture of 5 herbs for the treatment of HIV was given to 60 patients. This mixture was given with the conventional anti-HIV drug zidovudine. It was found that patients who took this mixture had fewer side effects and that they tolerated treatment with this drug better.

4 – Qiankunning:

This preparation was obtained by the extraction of 14 different plants. The interrogation was performed on 70 people. It has been determined that people who received this traditional medicine have a large drop in HIV levels in the body after 7 months of consuming this mixture.

5 – Zongyan-4:

Current TCM studies on HIV are not sufficient to draw any firm conclusions. In each of the above studies, the sample size was not large enough to extract definitive information.

Current research shows that using TCM can address some of the symptoms, as was the case with candidiasis and HIV-induced diarrhea. However, at the number of CD4 cells and the number of viruses, the results cannot be confirmed.

A larger number of samples is needed for safer conclusions to more accurately determine the effects of TCM in people with HIV and AIDS.

All staphylococci produce enzyme catalase (catalase-positive), which distinguishes them from the genus Streptococcus  (which are catalase-negative).

Divisions of staphylococci and infections

The genus Staphylococcus is divided into two groups according to the ability to coagulate blood plasma:

The antibiotic of choice for the treatment of these infections is penicillinase-resistant penicillins. Laboratory diagnosis includes the identification of pathogens by microscopy and culture.

Coagulase-negative staphylococci are classic opportunists. Staphylococcus epidermidis and other species are common agents in foreign body infections due to their ability to form biofilms on inert objects’ surfaces. Staphylococcus saprophyticus is responsible for approximately 10-20% of acute urinary tract infections in young women.

Staphylococci grow easily on most bacteriological media under aerobic or microaerophilic conditions. They grow fastest at 37 ° C but produce pigment best at room temperature (20–25 ° C). The colonies are round, smooth, raised, and shiny on a solid medium. Staphylococcus aureus usually forms gray to golden yellow colonies. Staphylococcus epidermidis colonies are usually gray to white at primary isolation; many colonies develop pigment only after prolonged incubation. Antigen structure

Staphylococci contain antigenic polysaccharides and proteins, and other substances are important in the cell wall structure. Peptidoglycan (murein), a polysaccharide polymer, forms a solid cell wall exoskeleton. The peptidoglycan is destroyed by strong acids or by exposure to lysozyme. This is important in the pathogenesis of infection: it induces the production of interleukin-1 (which is an endogenous pyrogen) and opsonizing antibodies in monocytes, and these substances can be chemotaxis for polymorphonuclear leukocytes, have endotoxin-like activity, and activate complement.

Protein A has become an important reagent in immunology and laboratory diagnostic technology; for example, protein A with bound IgG molecules directed against a specific bacterial antigen will agglutinate the bacterium containing that antigen.

Some strains of S. aureus have capsules, which inhibit phagocytosis by polymorphonuclear leukocytes unless specific antibodies are present. Most strains of S. aureus have coagulase and clumping factor on the surface of the cell wall – coagulase binds non-enzymatically to fibrinogen, initiating the aggregation of bacteria.

Serological tests are limited in identifying staphylococci.

Staphylococcal enzymes and toxins

  • As already mentioned, Staphylococci can cause disease both through their ability to multiply and spread throughout tissues and through the production of many extracellular substances. Some of these substances are enzymes; others are considered toxins, although they may also function as enzymes. Plasmids genetically control many toxins – some may be both chromosomal and extrachromosomal controlled – for others, the mechanisms of genetic control are not well known.

Enzymes

  • Catalase – Staphylococci create catalase, which converts hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. The catalase test distinguishes positive staphylococci from streptococci, which are negative.
  • Coagulase – Staphylococcus aureus produces coagulase, a proenzyme that coagulates oxidized or citrated plasma. Coagulase binds to prothrombin. Together they become enzymatically active and begin the polymerization of fibrin. Coagulase can deposit fibrin on staphylococci’s surface, presumably altering their ingestion by phagocytic cells or their destruction within such cells. Catalase production is considered synonymous with invasive pathogenic potential.
  • Other enzymes produced by staphylococci include hyaluronidase, a staphylokinase that acts fibrinolytically but acts much more slowly than streptokinase, proteinase, lipase, and beta-lactamase.

Toxins

  • Alpha-toxin is a heterogeneous protein that acts on a wide range of eukaryotic cell membranes. Alpha-toxin is a potent hemolysin. Beta-toxin degrades sphingomyelin and is therefore toxic to many cell types, including human red blood cells.

Influenza, influenza virus infection

Influenza virus infections, influenza (ICD-10: J10, J11), are among the most common infectious diseases. Influenza is caused by highly contagious airborne viruses that cause acute febrile illness and result in varying degrees of systemic symptoms, from mild fatigue to respiratory failure and death. These symptoms contribute to significant loss of working days, mortality, and morbidity. The word “influenza” comes from the Italian language and means “influence,” as it was attributed to unfavorable astrological influences in the age of superstition.

Although most common influenza circulating strains in the annual flu cycle represent significant public health concerns, many more deadly strains of influenza appeared periodically. These deadly strains caused three global pandemics in the last century, the worst of which occurred in 1918. called the Spanish flu (although most cases occurred in the United States and elsewhere in Europe before Spain), and the pandemic killed between 20 and 50 million people.

In addition to humans, the flu also affects various animal species. Some of these influenza strains are species-specific, but new strains can spread from other animal species to humans. So that, e.g., the term “avian influenza” is used to denote zoonotic human infections by a strain of influenza that primarily affects birds.

Types of flu

Swine flu refers to infections with strains derived from pigs.

The flu’s signs and symptoms overlap with many other signs of the virus upper respiratory tract infections. Viruses such as adenovirus, enterovirus, and paramyxovirus can initially cause influenza symptoms.

The standard for diagnosing influenza A and B is a viral culture of nasopharyngeal or throat samples. Influenza epidemiology

In the tropics, influenza occurs year-round, but in the northern hemisphere, the group season typically begins in early fall, peaks in mid-February, and ends in late spring of the following year. The duration and severity of a flu epidemic vary, depending on the virus’s causative strain.

Influenza viruses A and B belong to the family orthomyxovirus (This group of viruses also includes influenza C, which is not medically important, although epidemics of influenza C have been reported, especially in children), spherical enveloped viruses with a segmented single-stranded negative RNA coil. RNA consists of 8 genetic segments surrounded by 10 (in the influenza A) or 11 (influenza B) protein. Immunologically, the most important surface proteins are hemagglutinin (H) I neuraminidase (N).

Hemagglutinin and neuraminidase

Hemagglutinin and neuraminidase are the most important virulence factors and are the main targets of neutralizing antibodies of acquired immunity to influenza. Hemagglutinin binds to respiratory epithelial cells, enabling cellular infection. Neuraminidase cleaves the bond that holds newly replicated virions on the cell surface, allowing the infection to spread.

Virus identification

Influenza A identification is made by identifying both N and H. Sixteen N and 9 H types have been identified so far. Different combinations of HINs result in 144 combinations and potential virus subtypes. The most common subtypes of human influenza viruses identified today contain hemagglutinins 1, 2, and 3 and neuraminidases 1 and 2. These variants are responsible for species specificity due to receptor utilization differences (particularly sialic acid, which binds hemagglutinin and is cleaved by neuraminidase when the virus leaves the cell).

For example, influenza A subtype H5N1 expresses hemagglutinin 5 and neuraminidase 1.

H3N2 and H1N1 are the most commonly prevalent influenza A subtypes affecting humans. Each year, the vaccine used contains influenza A strains H1N1 and H3N2 and an influenza B strain.

Viral RNA polymerase does not have a mechanism to check for replication errors, so year-to-year variations are sufficient to provide a significant number of susceptible hosts. Also, the segmented genome can reorganize genomic segments from different strains of influenza in a co-infected host.

Animal flu

In addition to humans, influenza also infects various animal species. More than 100 types of influenza A infect most birds, pigs, horses, dogs, and seals. Influenza A is a genetically labile virus, where the frequency of mutations is almost 300 times higher than the frequency of mutations in other microorganisms.

Clinical picture

Symptoms

Presentations of influenza virus infection vary. Patients with influenza who have been previously immunized may have milder symptoms. Sudden onset of the disease is common. Many patients can give the time when the disease started. Sore throat

Frontal/retroorbital headache

Some patients with influenza develop rhinitis of variable severity, but this is generally not the main symptom.

Weakness and severe fatigue

Cough

Cough and other respiratory symptoms may be initially minimal but often progress as the infection progresses. They may report unproductive cough, pleurisy chest pain associated with cough, and dyspnea – respiratory system. In children, diarrhea may be present.

Acute encephalopathy is associated with influenza A infection.

The incubation period of influenza is on average 2 days but can vary from 1 to 4 days. Due to the aerosol transmission and possible (but less likely) transmission via asymptomatic individuals and contaminated surfaces, the patient may be unaware of disease exposure.

H1N1 flu pandemic

For the H1N1 flu pandemic, the initial symptoms were high fever, myalgia, rhinorrhea, and sore throat. Nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting were also reported.

In the medical history, avian influenza should be suspected in all patients exposed to sick, dead, or dying birds (such as poultry) or people with avian influenza. Many cases involve close contact, such as plucking or cleaning dead poultry or eating incompletely cooked poultry meat. Some patients have no history of exposure to diseased birds, suggesting that spread from asymptomatic birds is possible or that the virus may spread through the environment.

The average time from exposure to the disease’s onset is 2-4 days but can last up to 8 days. About 94-100% of cases begin with typical influenza syndrome, including high fever (over 38 degrees Celsius) and lower respiratory tract infection (cough and pleurisy). Headaches, myalgia, and fatigue are also common.

Dyspnoea has been reported in 76-100% of cases. Lower respiratory tract involvement appears to occur earlier with bird flu than with seasonal flu. Dyspnoea, hoarseness, and sputum can be the main complaints. Sputum is sometimes bloody.

Upper respiratory tract disorders such as sore throat or rhinorrhea occur in only about half of confirmed cases.

Gastrointestinal symptoms

Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain are common early complaints in 10-50% of patients. Bloody, watery diarrhea seems to be more common with bird flu than with human seasonal flu.

Encephalitis may occur. Only two people have presented encephalitis so far.

The incidence of asymptomatic or mild cases has not been established.

Physical examination

The general appearance varies among patients with influenza. Some appear acutely ill, with weakness and respiratory findings, while others appear only mildly ill. On examination, patients may have some of the following findings:

  • Fever of 37.5-40 degrees Celsius; fever is generally lower in older patients than in young adults,
  • tachycardia, which is probably the result of hypoxia, fever, or both,
  • pharyngitis – even in patients who report severe sore throat, the findings vary from minimal infection to more severe inflammation,
  • eyes may be red and watery,
  • the skin may be warm to hot, reflecting temperature status. Patients who have been febrile with low fluid intake may show signs of dehydration with dry skin,
  • pulmonary findings during the physical examination may include dry cough with clear lungs,
  • nasal discharge is absent in most patients.

High fever (over 38 degrees Celsius), tachypnea, and hypoxia can be reported with bird flu. Crepitations can sometimes be heard early and occasionally whistling. Patients typically have a productive cough, occasionally permeated with blood. Diarrhea is relatively common. Abdominal pain and vomiting are relatively rare. Signs of upper respiratory tract infection, including cholera (rhinitis), conjunctivitis, and pharyngitis, may not be noted, but these findings are not necessarily present.

Complications

Primary influenza pneumonia is characterized by progressive cough, dyspnea, and cyanosis after initial presentation. Thoracic X-ray shows a bilateral diffuse infiltrative pattern without consolidation, which may progress to a presentation similar to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

Risks for viral pneumonia include several complex host immune system responses and viral virulence. Women in the third trimester of pregnancy have a higher risk. Other complications of influenza A and B. S.pneumoniae or H.influenzae pneumonia

Myositis

Myositis is a rare complication. This group of patients may develop true rhabdomyolysis, with elevated creatine kinase levels and myoglobinuria. Myocarditis and pericarditis have been associated with influenza infection.

A meta-analysis of bird flu cases in four countries found that the clinical course of progression in ARDS and respiratory failure in 70-100% of cases. The median time for ARDS development was 6 days. Lymphopenia at presentation is a significant predictive factor in ARDS progression and death.

Severe cases of bird flu can progress to multiorgan failure. A study of 12 hospitalized patients with confirmed H5N1 influenza, 75% had respiratory failure, 42% heart failure, and 33% renal failure.

Diagnosing the flu

Thus, the microbe becomes healthy and nourished, and the cell becomes sick and hungry it simply “chokes” in the mud from dangerous hormones and mycotoxins.

There is probably a biological limit here, Kerr notes, as much as the receptors can place glucose on the cell, and when that limit is met, there is no other way for the mitochondria to get enough energy. Due to the small number of ATP molecules, the energy level decreases, and the cell becomes anaerobic. And that suits the microorganism perfectly.

The other side of the coin – the medical establishment

If you follow the package’s instructions, the lichens should start to recede after one week. Use these medications twice a day for at least 8 weeks to make sure you are completely rid of the infection.

Take care to keep the affected area clean and dry.

If the infected area begins to breastfeed or leak any contents, apply cold or warm moist compresses. You can also soak it in water in which bitter salt has been dissolved to help drain the rash from which the leak occurred. Be careful not to puncture the blisters, and see a doctor as soon as possible.

It is unclear why turmeric should be so effective in fungal skin diseases, but Asian medicine has long used this spice to fight lichens. Stir in one or two coffee spoons turmeric in as much water as needed to make a paste. Spread this paste over the affected area and cover it with a gauze piece. Remove it after 10 minutes to an hour. You can repeat this 3 to 4 times a day, but stop using turmeric if you notice that it irritates your skin.

The power of prevention

Do not share shoes and used towels with other people – they can spread the infection.

If any family members have lichens, you should take care that they wear shared clothes or hairbrushes.

Wash in hot water all clothing, towels, hand towels, and bedding that may have contact with the infected area of skin.

Make sure to completely dry your feet after swimming or bathing using a hairdryer whenever possible. The area between the toes is the most common area for fungal development.

To avoid the possibility of picking up fungi, instead of going barefoot around public pools, use slippers or sandals.

 Put some antifungal powder in shoes or groin to absorb excess moisture.

Pets can be carriers of lichens that can be transmitted to humans. If you notice a hairless spot on your dog or cat’s skin, take your pet to the vet as soon as possible to begin treatment for lichens.
